Farm Bureau can help you save money on car insurance. Ask an agent about the:
Good Student Discount
You probably know about good-student discounts, and if you have a youthful driver, you can save quite a bit if he or she maintains a "B" average or higher GPA.
Multiple Policy Discount
Discounts are available for insuring both your home and car, or by insuring more than one vehicle. Ask an agent about our one-deductible, customizable package policy, Farm Bureau Member's Choice.
Safe Driver Discount
The better your driving record, the lower your premium. You may pay more if you’ve had accidents, serious traffic violations or a gap in coverage.
Continued In-Force Credit
Loyal customers who continue to renew their Farm Bureau Member's Choice policies are rewarded with loyalty credit.
Low Mileage Discount
If you drive your vehicle 7,500 miles or less annually, you may qualify for an Annual Mileage Credit.
Driven to Safety Discount
Drivers less than 25 years of age who complete our DriveologyTM program are eligible to earn this discount. Learn more about how Driveology can help your young driver become a safe driver.
Other Ways to Save:
Increase your deductible
The deductible is the cost you pay if you have a claim. It applies to comprehensive and collision coverage, but not to liability. You can lower your premium significantly by selecting a higher deductible. You’ll “self insure” more and your insurance will cover the big expenses. Higher deductible = lower premium.
Make sure your credit report is clean
Your credit report affects your insurance rates, so paying bills on time and cleaning up debt could save you more than interest on your credit card — it might reduce your auto insurance premium, too.
Reduce coverage
If you drive an older model car that’s worth less than 10 times the amount you pay for coverage, you may want to drop collision and comprehensive coverage, which cover only the replacement value of the car. Talk with your agent about doing the smart thing for you and your car.
Buy right
If you’re buying a new car, give your agent a call to see what the insurance coverage will cost. Cars with a high theft rate or that are expensive to repair often cost more to insure.
