Why is a College Education Important?

A college education can have a positive impact on a person's future earnings. In fact, a recent study showed that 87% of Americans surveyed felt that a college education was very important in order to get ahead. 1 And they’re right. Did you know that people with a bachelor's degreen earn nearly twice as much on average than those with only a high school diploma? Over a lifetime, the gap in earning potential between a high school diploma and a B.A. (or higher) is more than $1 million! 2
