Protect the Tools of Your Trade with Agricultural Insurance

  • A Team Effort

We're committed to delivering smarter insurance for agriculture, which is why we have a team of dedicated Ag Underwriters who work with your local agent to bring an added layer of knowledge to your account. Together they can ensure your coverage is tailored to your needs.

  • On-Site SuperCheck®

Your agent and Ag Underwriter can conduct a thorough analysis of your farm or ranch operation with an on-site SuperCheck. With this in-person inspection, they can help assess the value of your buildings and other property and look for potential discounts on your premium.

  • Your Equipment and Supplies

In addition to protecting your home and vehicles, our farm/ranch personal property insurance can protect the items you use every day in your operation – tractors, combines, tools, grain, feed, livestock, etc. Your Farm Bureau agent can help tailor your coverage to fit your specific needs.

  • Commercial Ag Operations

Larger, more complex farming operations have their own set of unique needs and risks. If you run a complex farm/ranch or commercial ag business, ask your agent about AgMax, our specialized insurance coverage for commercial agriculture.

Farm/ranch personal property insurance helps protect you financially if items used to run your agricultural operation, such as tractors, combines, tools, grain, feed, supplies and livestock are damaged. It’s available as a blanket to cover all your farm/ranch personal property. With this coverage, your farm/ranch personal property is protected from damage from such things as fire, lightning, windstorm, hail, theft and vandalism. Livestock coverage also includes accidental shooting, attack by dogs or wild animals, drowning and electrocution. Additional coverage options you might want to consider:

  • Livestock Freezing or Smothering Coverage

    Covers blizzard-related livestock loss.

  • Suffocation Coverage

Covers loss of livestock in confinement due to suffocation.

  • Peak Season Coverage

Increases coverage for a period of time; for example, during harvest when inventories may be high.

  • Farm/Ranch Operations Interruption

Adds coverage for extra expenses and loss of farm/ranch earnings due to an interruption of operations.

  • Personal Liability Coverage

Protects you if someone is injured while visiting your farm or ranch, or if you accidentally injure someone or damage their property while away from your premises.

  • Umbrella Liability Coverage

Offers additional liability coverage above your base policy’s limits.

  • Farm Ranch Employer Liability Coverage

Provides benefits for your farm employees if they are injured, become ill or die as a result of employment-related activities.

  • Workers Compensation

This valuable coverage helps limit your financial responsibility for the medical expense that can be incurred due to an employee's injury. It also help ensure that you'll be able to continue operations if an employee is injured.

  • Farm Bureau Member's Choice

With a Farm Bureau Member’s Choice policy, you can bundle your farm and ranch operations just like your personal policies. Your Member’s Choice policy can include your farm/ranch personal property, farm/ranch vehicles, car insurance, and personal liability insurance ― you select the types of coverage you need.

  • Reduced Premiums

Reduced premiums are also available, if you are eligible for a variety of discounts and credits, including good driving records, good grades, multiple vehicles or having your home and personal property insured with us.1

1 Some discounts or credits may not be available in all states.
