June 17, 2016
WEST DES MOINES, Iowa (June 17, 2016) — For the second year in a row, the American Heart Association recognized Farm Bureau Financial Services as a Gold Fit-Friendly worksite, an elite group of employers dedicated to workplace health and well-being.

To qualify as a Gold Fit-Friendly worksite, an employer must fulfill criteria such as offering employees physical activity support, increasing healthy eating options at work and promoting a wellness culture. Farm Bureau Financial Services was chosen for its robust programs, including onsite health and wellness staff, fitness equipment in 7 of 8 state offices, quarterly incentive contents and educational trainings.

“We’re pleased to receive the Gold Fit-Friendly Worksite award for the second year in a row,” said CEO Jim Brannen. “Our company’s success is predicated on our employees and I firmly believe that offering transformational wellness initiatives creates a healthy culture and long term value for our employees.”
