Farm Vehicle Insurance for Trucks, Trailers, Tractors and More

Overview

  • Do You Need Coverage?

In most states, carrying standard auto insurance coverage for farm vehicles is optional. But, insuring your farm vehicles is a smart idea: it protects you, your farm and the people who count on you... because accidents do happen. The type of coverage you’ll need depends on how the vehicle is used.

  • Insurance Designed for Farm Vehicles

Vehicles used primarily for farming or ranching such as pickup trucks, vans, farm truck tractors, farm trucks (weighing 1 ton or more) and trailers are eligible for coverage  – if your personal vehicle insurance is also with us. We can even insure your cargo and special mounted equipment.

Coverage

A Farm Bureau agent will work with you to determine the coverage, deductibles and limits that work best for you and your farm operation:

  • Bodily Injury Liability

Coverage protects your operation if someone is injured or killed by your farm or ranch vehicle.

  • Property Damage Liability

Covers damage to someone else’s property caused by your farm or ranch vehicle.

  • Medical or No-Fault Coverage

Varies by state. See your agent for details.

  • Comprehensive

Coverage pays for damage due to causes other than collision — fire, theft, wind, hail, riot or civil commotion, and/or vandalism and malicious mischief.

  • Collision

Coverage pays for damage to your farm vehicle or trailer caused by accidental collision or overturning.

  • Uninsured and Underinsured

Coverage protects you and your passengers from bodily injury caused by other drivers without adequate auto insurance.
